Breed Focus
We'll be hosting a Breed Focus, and we'd love as many different breeds as possible on the bench for the weekend. This is your chance to put your breed front and centre — decorate your pen area, bring signage, leaflets or anything that helps tell your breed's story, and enjoy the chance to chat to the public about what makes them so special. Please let us know if you're happy to take part and leave a note in your entry on TOES.
New Exhibitors
Felinology delights in welcoming New Exhibitors — we are a friendly team and will make sure your day is extra special, and that you understand what's required. Please let us know when you enter if this is your first show, and we can bench you with a more seasoned exhibitor to show you the ropes. The Show Team is also available prior to the show and on the day to assist with any queries.
We will hold a New Exhibitors Chat in a ring on both Saturday and Sunday, where a judge will explain the rules and show etiquette. The names of the judges running these rings will be posted in your exhibitor email ahead of the show.
Benching
THIS IS A "BRING YOUR OWN CAGE" SHOW: there will be limited benching cages available. Please contact the Show Team should you require one — cost is £20.00 for the weekend. Easy, affordable tents/cages are available via Amazon or Sturdi. Please note in TOES if you require a metal pen.
The standard double space is 4ft x 2ft and, under TICA rules, accommodates 2 adult cats, or 1 adult cat and 2 kittens, or 3 kittens. The entry clerk will add additional spaces to your entry where required to meet the rules, with applicable fees charged.
This is a non-vetted show. All entries must be free from contagious disease, with all vaccinations up to date, and vaccination cards must be presented at check-in. Any entry showing signs of contagious illness, parasites or fungus, or cats from homes exhibiting signs of infectious or contagious disease in the prior 21 days, are ineligible for entry or competition.
Cats which are pregnant or lactating will be disqualified. Cats may NOT be kept in the show hall overnight. All HHPs eight (8) months of age or older MUST be altered. All claws must be clipped prior to judging. Kittens aged between 3–4 calendar months are permitted into the show hall for exhibition only; kitten class for judging begins at 4 calendar months.
Junior Exhibitors
There will be Junior Exhibitor rings held at this show, with activities taking place each day. All current Junior Exhibitors who wish to take part should notify the Regional Liaison as soon as possible.
Anyone not yet part of the programme but wishing to join or find out what TICA's Junior Exhibitor programme is about should contact Collette Waugh on ewjuniorexhibitors@gmail.com.
Supplies
Bring your own benching cage, cat food, litter and litter trays, food/water bowls, and bags to remove your own refuse.
Banners & Signage
You're welcome to advertise your cattery at the show with banners, business cards and other promotional materials. We are limited by health and safety requirements, so can only accommodate a few stand-up banners in the hall, on a first-come, first-served basis, positioned on row-end benching. You're also welcome to bring banners for the venue entrance en route to the show hall. Please let the Show Manager know if you wish to bring a banner when you make your entry — there's no additional charge. If not noted in TOES with your booking, we might not have space for your banner.
Catering
There is a full-service café in the venue open all day with light meals, snacks and refreshments, plus a vending machine for those who require it.
Accommodation
There is no official Show Hotel, but there are many excellent pet-friendly venues in the local area. Please ensure your rooms are left clean and tidy, or we as an organisation risk losing suitable accommodation for future shows.
Clerks
We have a few clerk spaces still available please contact Natasha O.Martin or the Show Team if you would like to clerk at the show
Show Rules
This show is licensed and scored by TICA (The International Cat Association) and is subject to their show rules and breed standards. All exhibitors agree, by entering, to abide by the decisions of the show management and judges. A copy of all show rules is available from the TICA executive office, PO Box 2684, Harlingen, Texas 78551, or online. No kittens 3 months of age or younger will be permitted in the show hall. Proof of age and TICA litter registration must be available.
Registration
With the exception of cats competing in the Preliminary New Breed, Advanced New Breed and New Traits classes, TICA registration is not required to compete. However, to be scored for TICA titles and Regional/International awards, all cats except HHP kittens must be registered by their second show. Owners of unregistered cats, kittens and alters must be able to prove eligibility to register — acceptable documentation includes TICA litter registrations, pedigrees, or registration documents from another organisation, copies of which must be uploaded to TOES. Our region is non-isolated, so please remember this when adding your points.
Awards
Awards will be given in accordance with TICA Show Rules. This show is scored for TICA Regional and International awards.
Liability
Felinology, its individual members, Leatherhead Leisure Centre (Guildford Road, Fetcham, Leatherhead, Surrey, KT22 9AS) and TICA will not be held liable for any loss or accident to spectators, exhibitors, cats or personal property.
